Framing our Problem
Create a website for Pangyang Her that showcases her editing services and recruit new clients in a professional and efficient manner.
Research & Analysis
Four interviews are conducted to understand the needs of users searching for video editing services and is reflected in the following affinity diagram which highlights interview themes. In addition, a competitor analysis is conducted of local and global video editing services to guide our design process. Lastly, a customer journey map is developed to encapsulate the journey of seeking out a video editor.

Data Synthesis
Comments and concerns highlighted in our research and analysis above were then used to develop personas. Mental models are also produced to develop potential solution spaces for each theme identified in our research.

Design Concepts
CONCEPT 1: Work Samples
Potential clients are looking for examples of works to inform what quality of work they may expect of you and whether it meets their own goals and vision. The ability to view samples and control how much they want to review is essential.
CONCEPT 2: Findability
Clients are interested in knowing where services are located, especially if they’re looking for local work. Ensuring related terms are included in the website’s metadata as well as content will be helpful.
CONCEPT 3: Further Guidance
Potential clients may want as much information as possible to inform them whether or not to reach out with further questions or a quote. To do so, it's recommend to offer further information and details on the website about types of services (with expandable details that users can opt into reading more into). Secondly, to optimize the time responding to inquiries and to set expectations for users about next steps, a form that standardizes questions/prompts/details you’d need to efficiently respond is recommended.

Usability testing
Three individuals participated in a usability test where they were asked to complete two tasks: Review the corporate video projects of the video editor and request a quote for a promotional video project.
All were able to complete the two tasks, with the first task in particular being very quick and clear based on responses from users and number of clicks required.
Based on user feedback, the website was easy to navigate and simple in design.
Final Design
We understand that users will be reviewing multiple potential video editors' websites and only have so much time to browse each one. A website that's easy to navigate but clearly showcases Pangyang's work effectively bridges the goals for both Pangyang and potential future clients.

Reflections
What went well:
Upon completion of this project, it was highly important to get across relevant information to potential users of the website and make the navigation process smooth and clear. I believe I’ve achieved this goal through the information architecture.
What to Improve:
A more interactive contact page may be more eye-catching and engaging for users beyond what is developed here.
Future:
For this project, a branding package was not available to build off of. A future return to the website with such branding would only further enhance the website for Pangyang.
